Our Journey

Forming in 2018, Tove Valley have gone from being a village team in the quiet setting of Stoke Bruerne, to league and cup champions and pushing to be one of he best adults teams in the county at amateur level.

Stay up to date with our journey so far, as we have gone from Stoke Bruerne to Tiffield in South Northamptonshire to now splitting our teams between Northampton Central and Pattishall as we await facility completion to deliver a full adult's pathway to the large town of Towcester

Two defeats for the sides this weekend which hurts however plenty of good moments in both games, and scorelines which we feel don’t reflect the performances and efforts of the teams

Still disappointment with Tove not having control of key moments in the boxes and more work to be done, but thanks to all those who came out to support the sides in two great games!

On Saturday the Men’s take on high flying Doddington in a tough away game against the league leaders as they look to maintain the performance level from last weekend

Then on Sunday the Ladies host Daventry Town at Malcolm Arnold Academy who currently sit second in the table

Man of the Match

One of our best performances Saturday against a great team in Kettering Orchard Park, with everyone having to be at their best to get the three points

So a really tough selection this week, however our top performer goes to Mukhtar for his selfless work rate and also his great attitude to executing his tasks and role which were key in taking control of the game early on and then seeing out the victory

Well done to Mukhtar and all the lads for their effort at the weekend 🙌

Hoping for a dry week this week as we prepare for a visit of Daventry next Sunday!

Final Score yesterday for the men’s saw an excellent performance and three points claimed against visitors Kettering Orchard Park

After going in to a 2-0 lead the lads had chances to kill the game, including a missed penalty from the skip 🤡, but an own goal from a wind taken corner made for a close end to the game where the team managed to hang on

Two League games this week as the Men are at home again as we host Kettering Orchard Park who sit just three points ahead of us in the league table, so a tough game expected on Saturday afternoon

Then on Sunday the Ladies travel up the A5 to Long Buckby to face their reserves as we look to continue the great football on display last weekend in our friendly

Final Scores

Mixed fortunes for the sides this weekend, with the Mens team falling to a disappointing defeat to Woodford Wolves with a unacceptably slow start giving us a mountain to climb going 2-0 down early doors, and the lads struggling to get momentum after this due to factors out of our hands in the game. However despite all this, a huge effort and improvement saw the game be pulled back to a one goal margin at 3-2, only to see a deflection and yet another penalty given to the opponents to see them comfortably take all three points

Meanwhile, a superb result today for the Ladies in their friendly, travelling over to Crick to face their reserves and come away 3-1 winners, well done for a huge shift from the players 🙌

After last weekends washout leaving the sides with a longer rest, we’re back in action with two games

In a shuffle to the games, the firsts now host AFC Woodford Wolves in a reverse of our tough game earlier in the season where the visitors claimed all three points

Meanwhile the Ladies travel over to Crick Athletic Reserves for a friendly on our week off in the schedule

Just the one game for the club this weekend as the Men’s team travel over to face Higham Town Reserves in the league tomorrow afternoon, who knocked the lads out of the league cup last month

A tough away game on the cards, but with two wins in the last two games the team will be looking to give a better account of themselves this weekend

Defeat in the cup for the Ladies yesterday afternoon as Daventry came away 3-1 winners in our match

Plenty of positives and the work in training is there to see in the game again so well done to the girls and we’ll keep working hard to prepare for Daventry next time we face them in the league

All three points on the road in a tough and thrilling game for the Men’s today away to Weldon United Reserves

After falling a goal behind in the first half the lads drew level at the break thanks to a belter from Ahmed

After a first half of chances the game was becoming a stalemate before Weldon capitalised at two set pieces with Tove temporarily down to 10 and went into a 3-1 lead

The lads never gave up however, and Shaw managed to pounce onto a cross and get Tove back in the game and able to turn the pressure on

A well worked free kick saw sub Turner twisting and turning before slotting bottom corner to draw the sides level before a last minute header from Bramley snatched the win at the death

Superb resilience from the side to make it two comebacks in a row, and well played to Weldon for their part in a great game!!

The Ladies are in action over at Daventry in the cup tomorrow and we look forward to another exciting game!!

How good was this lad on Saturday? Yasin grabbed the winning goal for the Men’s team with less than 10 minutes to go which capped off his superb performance

Relentless in midfield and being instrumental to the sides success which comes down to hard work all season on the training pitch

Superb performances all round from the entire squad at the weekend but Yasin earns the deserved award for his contribution to getting us back to winning ways!

After a drop off in the last few weeks it was a transformed performance this afternoon for the Men’s team who put in a superb performance against a tough Heyford Athletic Reserves side to edge a thrilling game at MAA

A brace from Bramley either side of the visitors getting into the lead before a belter from Yasin grabbed all three points in a resilient and energetic performance from the lads to get back to winning ways

Well done to all the team today with everyone putting in a superb performance and a strong team effort being a key part to a great afternoon
